Frequently Asked Questions 

Q) Who should give online?

A) Anyone who is looking for a simpler way to give to the ministry of Shadow Hills Church, as a one-time gift, or on an ongoing basis.

Q) Is online giving secure?

A) Yes it is! See the tab labeled "It’s Secure and Private."

Q) When are gifts processed?

A) You are able to choose the date your gifts are to be processed.

Q) What if I'm not a Shadow Hills Church member, but I want to make a donation?

A) How would I be able to get a statement for tax purposes?  We are happy to receive your gift, above and beyond your normal giving to your own home church.  Giving online is a perfect way for you to give. All givers receive a contribution statement regardless of membership status, assuming we have all of their correct address information.

Q) What if I want to cancel or change my online giving?

A) You may cancel or make changes to contributions before processing is complete.   Once your contribution has been processed, you cannot make any changes to it through your online giving account.

Q) Will my online gifts be included on my Statement of Contributions?

A) Yes, they will be included.

Q) How can I get a receipt of my online gift?

A) You will receive a contribution statement in the mail annually. Your online contributions will appear on these paper statements.

Q) It is safe to give online?

A) Yes. In many ways giving online is safer than writing a check; it cannot be lost or stolen.

Q) What types of bank accounts can I give from?

A) You can give online from either your checking or saving account or via credit card.

Q) Are there any fees involved with giving online?

A) No. You will not pay any fees with an online gift. In addition, online gifts are a more cost efficient way for the church to process donations.

Q) Can I make a one-time contribution? 

A) Yes. The system allows you the option of either making a one-time contribution or setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled out of your bank account at dates specified by you during the month.

Q) If I want to set up a recurring gifts, what are my options for frequency of gift?

A) For recurring gifts, you have the option of giving weekly, every two weeks, monthly, every three months or twice a month.

Q) Can I change my personal information or the amount or the frequency of my gift once I have set it up?

A) Yes, you can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log into the system using your user name and password and make the necessary changes in the system. (Please keep in mind that, per IRS regulations, once a gift has been made to the church, it cannot be refunded.)

Q) Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?

A) Yes. The church will continue to send contribution statements to your address on file for tax purposes.

Q) When will contributions be taken from my account?

A) Contributions will be taken from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This time frame allows for the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

Q) Can I designate my gift to a particular activity?

A) Yes.

Q) Will I be able to give to special Shadow Hills Church campaigns online?

A) During times when these campaigns are occurring, you will be able to give a one-time contribution to support the given initiative or campaign.
