Our Pastor

Michael Lynn Rochelle grew up in this city of lights. Sensing God's direction in his life, Michael began preaching here in Las Vegas at the age of fifteen. After graduating from Western High School, he attended Grand Canyon University where he received his B.A. While a student at Grand Canyon, he met and married Mary (Bell) Rochelle. The Rochelle’s spent their first year of seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.

While a student there, the First Baptist Church of Rodeo, California invited him to be their pastor. Michael and Mary moved to the Bay area of California, where he received his Masters of Theology from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael preached in California for the next ten years. In October of 1986 Shadow Hills (previously West Oakey) Baptist Church invited him to assume its pastorate. Michael and Mary have two sons Michael and Kristopher and grandson Colton.
